Project Overview

How do you transform public transport into a fully immersive mobile brand experience — and create meaningful engagement within just a few minutes of visitor time?

For a multi-day promotional campaign, an entire tram was transformed into a mobile showroom — creating an interactive brand activation that brought the NIVEA experience directly into public space.

Problem

A tram is not a traditional exhibition space.
It moves.
It has limited space.
Visitors enter and exit quickly.

The challenge was to design a mobile showroom activation that:

  • Guided visitors through a clear narrative
  • Integrated multiple interactive touchpoints
  • Delivered educational product content
  • Created emotional engagement in a short timeframe

All within a linear, narrow environment.

GOAL

The objective was to create a mobile brand experience that combined education, interaction and entertainment — while remaining intuitive and easy to navigate.

The activation needed to:

SOLUTION

The tram was structured as a clearly guided brand journey.

Each zone combined information, interaction and atmosphere — transforming the vehicle into a fully immersive mobile brand experience within a compact, linear space.

Interactive touch displays enabled intuitive product exploration.

Infrared-based skin analysis made UV protection visibly measurable.

A gamified photo activation created engagement and a tangible takeaway.

All elements were designed to function reliably within a moving environment and to deliver fast, self-explanatory interaction.

Our Scope of Work

Within this collaborative project involving GK Events, marketing agencies and the exhibition contractor, we were responsible for the interactive components and digital content.

Our contribution included:

  • Provision and integration of three 10-inch touchscreen displays
  • Development and deployment of interactive product content
  • Coordination and alignment of content via remote collaboration
  • Integration of Bluetooth-based audio solutions
  • Concept and implementation of the interactive memory game
  • Integration of a 32-inch touchscreen photo booth system
  • Camera integration and connection to a professional photo printer

The result was a technically stable and intuitively usable interaction system embedded seamlessly into the overall exhibition build.

Result

The branded tram became a moving showroom — delivering a structured experiential marketing journey through public space.

Visitors engaged actively with the brand, explored product benefits independently and left with both product samples and a personalized printed photo.

The project demonstrates how interactive brand activation concepts can successfully transform everyday environments into engaging brand experiences.
